STEPHEN WYSOCKI

Stephen Wysocki is a Wisconsin painter, who has been working professionally since 2010. Inspiration for his work is usually drawn from dramatic light: sunrises and sunsets, high noon sun and shadows, and nocturne streetlights. His artistic process focuses on an exploration of these lights, with an emphasis on textural and visual contrast. In his work, he experiments with color triads; dramatic highlights and shadows portrayed with brilliant oranges, moody violets, and vibrant greens. In his pieces, you can find small sections of the first thin wash of color, usually Cadmium Orange or Rose Madder, peeking through the finished piece to create continuity.
